I have a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer with an XS Power primary starting batt under hood and a second XSPower batt in the rear, connecting to my amps, batts are charged by a Mechman 370 amp alt.

What under the hood of my 2005 Trail Blazer can I use as a Positive (engine on) trigger wire for my solenoid???

If you'd like to isolate three batteries, you should use two relays.

If you'd like to isolate four batteries, you should use three relays, and so on...

I see that there are many amperages of relays, how many amps do I need when buying a relay for my car audio system ,, as of now I'm having battery draw issues, this is what I need but not sure of the amperage ?

It depends how many amps you will pass through the relay.
If you pass more amps than the relay is rated for then the relay will burn out.
To figure out the amount of current your components draw, you can look at the technical specifications.
For example, you amplifier might say it draws 20 amps.
Or you could always use an amp meter to get an exact reading.
Or just use the 200 amp relay to be safe...

The diagram explains a lot but if the batteries are connected parallel would you still to to run a power wire from one positive terminal to the other and also connect the relay to it with separate power wires or is every thing that is shown in the diagram all you need to do ?

Hi i connected the battery isolator as shown in the picture but the second battery is not holding charge. I hook it up the remote to the ignition and when i turn the car off and leave my system on it turns off after a while. I check the voltage and goes down from 12 volts to 8 volts. Try replacing the battery? It is normal for batteries to go bad over time. If its brand new, then maybe some other issue.

By "hooked up remote to ignition", you mean the relay is connected when the engine is on, and disconnected when the engine is off? That's the way it should work.

Housing appears to be plastic, and don't actually know if it is waterproof.

Give the 2 small contacts positive and negative, and the 2 big contacts will be connected. Remove power from the 2 small contacts and the 2 big contacts will be disconnected.

Connect one of the big contacts to the main battery. Connect the other big contact to the secondary battery.

Give the 2 small contacts power and ground when you want your batteries to be connected.
