Failure to properly fuse your wiring and components could be devastating. A wire could short somewhere in the car, and start a fire.
These ATC fuses are available in 7 amperages: 3, 5, 7.5, 10, 15, 20, and 25.
Suppose you have a 5 amp fuse connected in-line between your battery and the positive wire from your cathode transformer. If more than 5 amps of current passes through the fuse, it will immediately "blow". This will save your wires from melting and starting a fire!
As a guideline, each cathode transformer uses about .7 amps, so if you have 4 sets of cathode kits in your car, you should probably use 3 or 5 amp fuse. There may be some normal fluctuations of current, and the 4 kits may use over 3 amps. A 5 amp fuse will be plenty safe.
These fuses fit perfectly in our ATC fuse holders.
