[1] Depending on the thickness and type of material you're mounting the switch to, the hole size may have to be a little bit larger than 0.75 inches. But somewhere between 0.75 and 0.8 should work. If you're mounting it to a somewhat flexible material like plastic or wood, you can still make the hole larger by "wobbling" the drill bit around until the hole gets larger.
